Goal Attainment is the key to success, not just goal setting
It could be argued that Goalsetting is not a difficult skill to learn, as it is somewhat easy for an athlete to project where they want to be in the future. Ex. Playing in the NHL. Goal attainment is where the problem occurs, as most people are not aware of the steps needed to achieve their long term goals and how to deal with the struggles that come along that path. Infinite AD specializes in goal attainment and has developed a program that increases the chance of success for the athlete both in the short and the long term. The process includes a Strategic Individualized Athlete Development Plan and the use of multiple assessment tools that provide the structure needed for the athlete to complete the actions and develop the positive habits necessary to attain their personal goals.
“Setting the goal is not the main thing, it is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.”
Tom Landry Hall of Fame Football Coach of the Dallas Cowboys
Who uses Infinite AD?
How does Infinite Athlete Development increase the chance at goal attainment?
The program uses proven goal attainment and habit formation methods and strategies that exponentially increase the chance of success for the athlete.
Why Infinite AD? Of course an individualized plan will include the thoughts and wishes of the athlete, but Infinite AD strategic plans have an increased focus on the development of the positive on-ice and off-ice habits that we know are essential from working with hundreds of athletes including Junior, NCAA, and NHL players.
Why Infinite AD? The assessment tools offered by Infinite AD are unlikely to be offered by other Consultants. First of all, the athletes have their own page on the Infinite AD Web based application. This page includes all of the information in the Personal Development Blueprint, Strength and Improvement Analysis, and Goal attainment plan to keep this information at the forefront. The Personal Progress Report and Results Report Cards are completed on the ap and stored, so the athlete can refer to the reports as they make future plans.

Why Infinite AD?The infinite AD application sends text and/or email notifications to the athlete when it is time to do a report. The notifications are set at a time where the athlete is likely to be able to complete the report and if that does not occur another reminder goes out a couple days later. We have found that the addition of notifications to our programs has increased the amount of reports done substantially.
Why Infinite AD? There is a tremendous amount of self-assessment included in the Infinite AD program which gives the athletes chances to build this skill. They are not just left alone though as the Infinite AD consultant reviews the reports and provides feedback to the athlete to allow more reflection to occur and the improvement of their self-assessment skills.
Why Infinite AD? The Infinite AD Application includes a Game-Reflection tool that includes questions for the player to answer to assess different aspects of their game and a place to add notes of important information from that game. These reflection are stored on the Application and players can refer to them in the future as needed. The notification system is also used to remind players to complete the game reflections at the rate they chose ie. each game,1 game a week, etc.
I set challenging long-term goals four seasons ago. I found it very motivating to see that I not only attained, but exceeded those goals

Infinite has provided support that has allowed me to develop as a person and an athlete. The G.O.A.L.S process allowed me to stay focused on attainable goals which helped me progrress from Junior to College and on to Professional Hockey. More importantly, I have incorporated the skills I learned into life after hockey
